CHEEK AND EYEBROW LIFT SURGERY

The midface includes cheeks and cheekbones. In the ages after the forties, cheeks sag with the effects of gravity and aging. Over time, this sagging can become so much that it may reveal the cheekbones, and these sagging tissues create a fullness at the bottom of the mouth.

SURGERY:

In this surgery, the sagging tissues are lifted up to restore the fullness over the cheekbones. This reduces the enlargement on the bottom side and changes the face form.

The incisions are made only in the mouth, at the end of your upper lip and in your hairy scalp, so there is no scar left. With the camera and special equipments the muscles, fat packs and the dices are prepared one by one and taken upwards.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SURGERY:

Under normal conditions, it is ideal that the cheekbones should be at the mouth level at high, while your cheeks should be as inside as possible. If these rates are reversed, ie if your cheeks are protuberant but your cheek bones are flattened, this surgery may be appropriate for you.

This is not the surgery only performed to elders. Most patients have congenital sagging cheeks who have this surgery.

AFTER SURGERY:

The first change you will see in your face after this surgery will be swelling. This is not a painful surgery. In the first few days you will lay head upright and apply plenty of ice. Returning to work is usually possible at the end of the first week. The cheekbones appear as more swell for the first few weeks. You will relax in the second and third weeks, seeing the sweeps as disappearing.

COMPLICATIONS:

Some minor blood accumulations (hematomas) that may occur after this surgery will not cause a serious problem.

Infection is a complication that can be seen after this operation. Since most of the surgery is done through the mouth, there is always the possibility of germs here. However, if such infections are treated properly, they will heal quickly.

Asymmetry: Not doing its duty fully by one of the stitches holding the tissues in this operation.

Temporary loss of feeling is also an expected problem after this surgery. The loss of sensation in the upper lip and in the forehead will usually go away in a few weeks. Rarely encountered with the permanent losses last for months.

Temporary hair loss may also rarely occur. But the hair and feelings will definitely come back.
