Hair transplant surgery was first introduced by dermatologist Norman Orentreich in 1959. It was realized by obtaining the hair roots from the nape region, which is resistant to hair loss, and transferring them to the areas where hair is scarcely observed. The definition of the region "donor dominance", resistant to hair shed, was the foundation of hair transplantation.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) techniques used in hair transplantation are both methods that can produce natural results in appropriate candidates that can be applied under local anesthesia. Transplantation of thousands of follicles is done for a period of 5-8 hours in an environment where the patient is quite comfortable.

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) STRIP METHOD

In other words, tape or strip method in hair transplantation, the hair follicles are taken from the part, which is resistant to loss, below both ear lines and closed with an aesthetic suture. This fine aesthetic trail covered with hair cannot be seen. The hair strip taken from the nape is separated into follicular units one by one. Separated hair is held in a special liquid until the hair is transplanted.

The area where hair will be added is prepared by opening thin channels. Even if there is hair on the area where hair is to be planted, it is not necessary to shave them. Another critical step for natural hair growth is to determine the depth and angle of the channels to be opened for root placement.

Once the recipient region has been prepared for the hair plantation, the hair bundles containing the hair clips of 1 to 4 are carefully placed into the channels. Each hair bundle should be specially distributed according to the number of hair sheaths it contains so that a natural result can be obtained.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) TRANSPORTATION METHOD

In other words, hair transplantation by means of transport is a process of picking up the hair bundles one by one without a linear incision. The hair bundles are taken with rounded sections with 1mm and smaller diameter instruments over the scalp. Sowing of hair is the same with FUT method.

FUE is a suitable method for those who prefer very short hairstyles because they do not leave a linear trace. This method can be used to correct bad hair transplants.

In both methods, the area where the hair plant is made for the first week is noticeable from the outside. When you go out for the first week, you can cover this area with a hat. Men and women who have undergone hair transplantation may continue their day-to-day activities on the next day. Only smoking, heavy exercise and alcohol abuse should be avoided
