REDUCTION MAMMAPLASTY

Breast Reduction Mammaplasty Surgery is the most similar to breast lifting surgery, in aesthetic breast operations. The only difference in reduction mammaplasty surgery is that when the breast is being lifted, it is done by removing some of the fat from the inside of the breast and some of the skin.

BREAST AESTHETICS AND REDUCTION MAMMAPLASTY SURGERY

If your nipples are not lower than the level of the breast folding line you may say that you have MILD SAGGING breast, below this line you have SEVERE SAGGING breast.

Extremely large breasts can cause back pain and spine problems. Intertrigos can form under the big breasts, further these intertrigos can sometimes turn into open wounds. Psychological problems that are caused by excessively large breasts are always overlooked.

WHY DO THE BREASTS SAG?

Hormonal changes related to aging lead decrease in breast tissue. This causes the discharge and sagging of the breast. Breastfeeding mothers are more likely to sag. Also gravity pulls down the breasts and causes them to sag. In some cases, sagging starts at very early ages, which is caused by inherent weakness of the ties of breasts.

SURGERY, INCISION AND MARKS

It is possible to reshape the breasts, to completely eliminate the sag, and at the same time enlarge or reduce. Yet, an operation technique that can lift the breast without leaving a mark is unknown. The techniques used leave a mark along the entire skin periphery that connects to the nipple and extending down into the breast. This mark continues at the bottom line. Generally, it is accepted that the more the breast sagging, the longer the scar will be left.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SURGERY

If you feel that the sagging in your breasts is moderate and if you will be seriously disturbed by the scar, this surgery is not suitable for you. But if your breasts are seriously sagging and you think nothing can be worse than this, this surgery is for you. At the end of the surgery, you will have your breasts at the height and upward as you want.

COMPLICATIONS:

As in any surgery, there is a risk of bleeding and infection. There is almost no possibility of serious bleeding in such operations. Bleeding can be in the form of blood accumulation (hematoma) on one side of the nipple. A unilateral swelling around the fifth post-operative day may be an infection signal. The likelihood of such complications is very low. Skin loss is one of the complications that can be seen despite being rare. It is usually seen in the people who smoke after surgery. This risk increases even more particularly during operations when very large breasts are reduced too much. The skin takes a rigid black color and may need to be dressed for a long time.

Remember that the first two weeks after surgery are critical.

AESTHETIC PROBLEMS

Asymmetry is one of the problems that can be encountered after this surgery. Serious asymmetries may require re-operation. As a result of this operation, it is possible that you may not like your breast shape at all.

AFTER SURGERY

It is not a painful operation. Usually patients can be discharged on the same day and can return to work after 3-4 days. The first night may be relatively troubled. Usually, a simple painkiller taken orally is sufficient. Severe bruises and swellings are not expected as a result of this surgery.

It would be best to spare one week for this surgery. By the end of a week you will go back to normal.
