ARM LIFT (Brachioplasty)

Arm lift is a procedure performed to remove the sagging between the arm elbow and the armpit area. Eligible patients are those who are elder or who were overweight and gave a large portion of excess weight. In some cases, the operation is not limited to arm lift, but may require liposuction.

The surgery is performed under hospital conditions, with general anesthesia or local anesthesia. It takes 1-2 hours on average. It is possible to go home at the same day. Extra skin and subcutaneous fat tissue is removed by making an ellipse incision from the inside and the back of the arm. Dressing is done on the wound which is closed with stitches. Brachioplasty can be done alone or in conjunction with other body contouring operations.

It can be applied to anyone with a sagging and loose tissue in their arms. It is more convenient to apply liposuction to those who only have excess fat, that is, people without sagging and loose skin.

Early post-operative period is usually hassle-free. Antibiotics and painkillers are used. In the following days 2-3 dressings are made. 12-14. day stitches are removed.

Complications such as infection and bleeding are rare. The infection is treated with antibiotics. Complications in wound healing and skin loss in smokers occur more frequently. You may rarely be disappointed with the results of your surgical procedure. Additional surgery may be needed to correct such results.
