RHINOPLASTY

Aesthetic nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is the most performed aesthetic surgery by women as well as by men in our country.

RHINOPLASTY

The process of rhinoplasty is to reshape the nose by changing the structure of the cartilage and bones. In order to create a more aesthetic nose shape, it is sometimes necessary to cut bones and cartilages, and sometimes on the contrary, to add the missing parts and change the shape.

About the rhinoplasty can be said that it is the most difficult and unknown of the aesthetic surgery. It is accepted as the sign of the surgeon by most people.

SURGERY TECHNIQUES:

Rhinoplasty can be done in two ways as open and closed techniques. In closed technique, all incisions are made inside the nose. In the open technique, the nose is opened with an incision of 3-4 mm at the tip of the nose. The biggest disadvantage of open technique is the scar left under the nose. The scar becomes almost vague after a good surgery. The surgery technique is evaluated and selected according to the condition of the patient.

WHAT MY NOSE WILL LOOK LIKE AFTER SURGERY?

There are computer programs prepared for this purpose. A picture is taken during the examination and this picture is loaded on the computer and some changes are done on picture. Thus, the consensus between the patient and the doctor can be transferred to the visual. With this visual study, the end result of the surgery may not overlap 100%, but it is likely to be very close to the visual.

COMPLICATIONS

The nose is an organ that contains medium-sized vessels. The bleedings usually do not reach dangerous level and can be stopped with simple tampons. After surgery, adhesions called synechiae can develop in the air passage, which can make breathing difficult before surgery. Treatment is usually easy. However, a second surgical intervention may be required. Rarely, a hole may be formed in the septum, which forms the center of the nose. This usually does not create a problem, but it can cause a noise when breathing. Re-operation may be necessary.

The risk of infection is very low.

Based on world averages, you have a 10-15% dissatisfaction rate to re-operate.
